SLASH: Video Footage Of Singapore Press Conference Available

August 4, 2010

Klik.TV has uploaded video footage of Slash's (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) August 2, 2010 press conference at Fort Canning Park in Singapore. Watch the clip below.

As previously reported, bassist Tony Montana (GREAT WHITE) is filling in for Todd Kerns as a member of Slash's touring band during the group's Asia/Australia tour.

Kerns, who also plays guitar and sings for SIN CITY SINNERS, underwent surgery on July 16 for a retinal detachment in his right eye and will be out of commission for the next several weeks. He previously stated, "I have been playing almost every night for God knows how many years now and the idea of not doing so for a while is a bit unnerving. I plan to make the best of it."

Slash's Asian tour kicked off last Thursday (July 29) at the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong.

Slash's all-star collaborations album, simply titled "Slash", scored the highest new entry on The Billboard 200 chart in early April, with first-week U.S. sales of around 60,000 copies.

"Slash" was released in North America on April 6 via EMI Label Services. The album features an all-star roster of guest musicians, including Ian Astbury, Chris Cornell, Rocco DeLuca, Fergie, Dave Grohl, Myles Kennedy, Kid Rock, Lemmy Kilmister, Adam Levine, Duff McKagan, M. Shadows of AVENGED SEVENFOLD, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop, and Andrew Stockdale of WOLFMOTHER.
